Gerry (Geuchien) KRUL

Gerry (Geuchien) KRUL of Drayton passed away peacefully at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the age of 93. He was the beloved husband of the late Mina (nee van Lenthe) for 70 years. Gerry was the dear father of John and Diana, Arthur, Bill, and Jane of Elmwood, Fred and Cindy of Arthur, Teresa and Paul of Waterloo, and Susan and Mike of Priceville, Sylvia, and Dan of Kitchener. He was the treasured Opa of Jen and Steve, Jeff and Elissa, Leah and Tyler, Tracy and Mike, Trish, Ryan and Marielle, James and Steph, Rosie, Sarah and Tyler, Alex and Amy, Jocelyn and Kevin, Alison and Kyle, Mackenzie, Stephanie, Nicole and Noah, and Matthew and Tena. Gerry was also adored by 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is remembered by his brother Jan, the late Tryntje, sister Roelie and her husband Roelof, sister-in-law Riek, the late Geert TenKate and the late Johan Kok, brother-in-law Bill and his wife Joanne. Gerry was predeceased by his parents Jan Krul and Hilligje Dekker, in-laws Willem van Lenthe and Tryntje Kok, sister Geesje and her husband Gerrit, brother Jan in infancy, brother-in-law Tiem and his wife Marry, and sister-in-law Grace and her husband John. A private family burial will be held in Drayton Cemetery on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. A Celebration of Life service will take place on Tuesday, May 12th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Drayton Reformed Church, followed by lunch in the church fellowship hall. The family would like to thank the March of Dimes and the home healthcare teams that took care of Gerry. In lieu of flowers, donations to the March of Dimes would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton.
