NORMA COWAN
Norma Cowan, born on July 26, 1930, passed away peacefully at her home on July 27, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on her family's farm near Kingston, Ontario, Norma grew up surrounded by her parents, Joe and Jessie Duffe, and siblings Florence, Joan, and Allan. She met her husband, Don, while working as a nurse at a summer camp, and they married in 1956. The couple settled in Don Mills, where Norma was a proud and supportive mother to Anne, Linda, Ian, and David. She took great joy in her grandchildren, Colin, Garth, Devin, Jake, Natalie, Graham, and Tess, and her great-grandchildren, Beatrice, James, and Theo. Norma was known for her kindness, generosity, and positive spirit, which touched the lives of many through her volunteering and interactions with others. The family is grateful for the care and support provided by Jesa Llaguno, Bella Angeles, and the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care team during her final years. A celebration of life will be held on October 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Donway Covenant United Church, with doors opening at 10:00 a.m. for visitation.
