Jean Galbraith Bailey

Jean Galbraith Bailey passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born on May 9, 1929, in Erieau, Ontario, Canada. Jean was predeceased by her husband, William Lorne Bailey, her parents, her twin sister, Louise, and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Paul (Joyce) from Livonia, Michigan, and Lynne from Chicago, Illinois. Jean and her husband spent many summers at their cottage in Erieau, where their children, Paul and Lynne, spent their childhood. Jean attended the University of Michigan, receiving her college degree while her children were in high school, and later enjoyed a career in real estate in Dearborn, Michigan. She and her husband retired to Florida, first living on Hutchison Island and later moving to DeBary. Jean was an active member of her church, Longwood Congregational Church, where she volunteered at the food bank. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Longwood Congregational Church, 1255 EE Williamson, Longwood, Florida 32750, with a notation for the Food Bank.
