William Shield

William Shield of Cornwall, Ontario, passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on May 5, 1933, William was a cherished member of his family, friends, and community. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Doris Shield, and his sister Isabelle Wilson (late Fred). William is survived by his grandchildren, Alexandra (Sean McCallum) and Darren, as well as his close friend Gale McCallum. Visitation took place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lahaie and Sullivan Funeral Home West Branch, located at 20 Seventh St W, Cornwall, ON K6J 2X7. Memorial donations may be made to the Swinging B's Square Dance Club. William's influence on those around him will be remembered fondly.
