William R. Thompson

William R. Thompson of Cornwall, Ontario, died on August 8, 2026, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his partner Frances Benedict; his son Lawrence Benedict, who was married to the late Karen; his grandson Christopher Benedict; his parents Joe Thompson and Margaret Thompson; his grandfather Teion'kwatoronni; and his aunt Agnes Leaf. He is survived by his children Francine Benedict (married to Greg Saj), Thomas Benedict (married to Kateri), Robert Benedict (who was married to the late Fernande), and Patrick Benedict (married to Cheryl); as well as his grandchildren Lesia Thompson, Robert Thompson, Elaine Thompson, Jason Thompson, Clifford Benedict, Clayton Benedict, Maryann Benedict, Robert Benedict, Crystal Benedict, Alicia Herne, Kyle Benedict, Brandon Benedict and Katie Krein. A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home.
