Stephen Helle

Dr. Stephen Joseph Helle of Williamstown, Ontario, passed away peacefully at his home on June 25, 2026, at the age of 96, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Aveilhé "Judy" Helle (née Young) for 65 years. Stephen was a loving father to Sue, John, Barb, and Steve, and a cherished grandfather to Alex, Trevor, Cole, Joe, and Doug, as well as a great-grandfather to Jeremy. He was predeceased by his parents, Janos and Olga, his brother Charles, and his sister Susanne. A celebration of his life will take place on July 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, Lancaster, ON. Memorial donations to the Hungarian United Church, McGill University, Glengarry Memorial Hospital, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
