Raymond was predeceased by his wife, Marlene Mitchell, and his parents, Leo and Dorina Mitchell. He is survived by his children, Kellie Green (husband Doug) and Todd Mitchell (late wife Violet); and by his siblings, Alice Smith (husband Don), Ronald Mitchell (wife Sue), Gail Glaude (husband Jerry), Linda Heath (late husband Fred), Aline Mack (late husband Stewart), Lillian Caron (late husband Romeo) and Densil Mitchell (late wife Lorraine).
