Joan Ray

The family of Joan Ray of Cornwall, Ontario, announces her passing on October 21, 2026, at the age of 80. Joan was born on December 6, 1945. She was predeceased by her parents, John Mallers and Loretta Mallers, as well as her brother, Freddie Mallers. Joan is survived by her husband, Gordon Ray; her sons, Robert Ray (Karen) and Derrick Ray, both of Cornwall; her grandchildren, Chris, Shawn (Kate), Samantha (Steven), Devin, and Zachary; and her great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Ryleigh, Jaxson, Emry, Carter, Cooper, Bentleigh, Parker, Aubree, and Robbie. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lahaie & Sullivan Funeral Home - West Branch, located at 20 Seventh St W, Cornwall, ON K6J2X7. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The inurnment will occur at 1:00 PM at Notre Dame Cemetery South Branch, located at 17945 S Branch Rd, South Stormont, ON K6H7T7. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
