Joan McEwan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan McEwan of Cornwall, Ontario. Joan was born on June 1, 1936, and she passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her parents, John MacLeod and Lottie MacLeod; her brother Neil MacLeod (Gerda); and her brother-in-law Gerald McEwan (Colleen). Joan is survived by her husband, Bryan McEwan; her children, Janet McEwan (Steve Armstrong), Nancy Graham (the late Mike), Patricia Montero (Stephen), and Andrew McEwan (Megan); her grandchildren, Ethan Konink (Peyton), Jordan Graham (Kimberly), Emily Graham (Griffin), Emma Montero (Calum), Mitchell Montero, Naveen Montero, and Donovan McEwan; and her great-grandchildren, William Campbell and Owen Graham. She is also survived by her siblings, Iain MacLeod (the late Gail), Barry MacLeod (Verna), and Elizabeth Ann Ross (the late Jim); her caregivers from Bayshore, Paramed, and Diana Perrone of Ontario Health; as well as Tyler Armstrong (Jennifer), Matteo, Olivia, Jay Armstrong (Stephanie), Sullivan, and Thomas. Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at Trinity United Church, located at 11 Maple St, Ingleside, ON K0C1M0. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the same location. Memorial donations to the Ingleside-Newington United Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
