Donald Thomson

Donald Thomson, born December 1, 1929, died on August 16, 2026, at the age of 96. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia McIntosh, his great‑grandchild Wesley, his parents Salem Thomson and Jean Thomson (Urquhart), and his sister Dorothy Campbell (John). He is survived by his children Robin (married to Christie), Don (married to Helen), Kathy Ann MacLennan (married to Rory) and Donna Lee O'Farrell (married to Dermid); his grandchildren Leigh (married to Maureen), Neil, Drew (married to Jennifer), Kurtis (married to Karen), Kelsey MacDonald (married to Adam), Katie Andrews (married to Nathan), Marnie O'Farrell, Erin O'Farrell (married to Rob), Cassie O'Farrell, Collin (married to Anna), Brenna Montford (married to Kevin), Hannah, and Katherine; and his great‑grandchildren Brooke, Tristan, Emma, Scotlyn, Ashton, Adelyn, Kayden, Teagen, Nora, Isaiah and Freya. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St Andrews United Church, 18540 Kirk Street, Martintown, Ontario K0C1S0. Contributions in his memory may be directed to Carefor Cornwall Hospice.
