Albert Touchette

The family of Albert Touchette announces his passing on September 3, 2026, at the Cornwall Community Hospital, at the age of 71. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Schaeffer for 22 years and a devoted father to Phillip Touchette (Brianna Carr) and Kristina Touchette (Jamie Lavigne). Albert also served as a stepfather to Sara and Eric Brisson and was a cherished grandfather to Carlee, Evan, Landon, and Emerson. He is survived by his treasured siblings Carole, Linda, Rose-Marie, and Liette, and was predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Lillian (née Bonneville) Touchette. The family expresses gratitude to the oncology staff at Ottawa General Hospital and the Janet MacDonnell Pavilion. Visitation will be held at Lahaie and Sullivan West Branch, 20 Seventh Street W, Cornwall, ON, on September 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to The Friends of Algonquin Park Foundation.
