Philip J. LAVELL

Phil LAVELL passed away on January 2, 2026, at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood. He was surrounded by love during his final days. Over the past 14 months, Phil was visited by friends from near and far, including those from England, as well as childhood hockey and football friends. His family, including his seven grandchildren, also spent time with him. These visits brought Phil great joy. He cherished moments such as neighbourhood visits, going for drives in his blue 1982 Chevy pickup truck, and sitting by the water's edge with morning coffee. Phil's family would like to express their gratitude to the healthcare practitioners who provided care and support during this time, including Dr. Fauser, homecare nurses, and the paramedics who loved his cookies. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Bear Estate, 300 Balsam St., Collingwood, on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation or the Meaford Hospital Foundation for the ER department.
