Mike Hensel

Mike Hensel of Collingwood, Ontario, passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on June 1, 1959. He is survived by his significant other Shelley; his former spouse Eric (Vanessa); his children Sarah and Izzy Houston; his parents John and Velma Hensel; his siblings Karen (married to Jim), Janice (married to Clayton), David (married to Leanne), Lori (married to Ingo) and Susan (married to Jim); his mother‑in‑law Judi Plewes; his sister‑in‑law Stephanie (married to Darren); his pet Este; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at the Alpine Ski Club, 242 Arrowhead Road #17, The Blue Mountains, Ontario L9Y0S1. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation.
