MICHAEL MCCARTY

Michael Joel McCarty passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on May 10, 1947, in Collingwood, Ontario, Michael was a devoted husband to his wife, Marie, for 50 years. He was a loving father to his sons, Adam and Ben, and a caring grandfather to his grandchildren, Weslee, Emma, and Poppy. Michael was also a special uncle to Joanna Lee and Nicholas. He was known for his dedication to his family and his passion for golf, which led him to establish Wye Golf Services in 1991. Michael worked as a Hydro Lineman for Orillia Water, Light & Power, and the Midland Public Utilities, where he became a supervisor. He was a skilled handyman and built two homes in Wyebridge. Michael is survived by his wife, Marie; sons, Adam and Ben; grandchildren, Weslee, Emma, and Poppy; sister-in-law, Retta; and her children, Joanna Lee and Nicholas. Predeceased by none. Funeral arrangements will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery.
