Jack Lumley Rogerson (Jake)
Jack Lumley Rogerson, known to many as Jake, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by his family at Huronview Care Home in Clinton, Ontario. Born on May 21, 1937, in London, Ontario, he was the son of Richard and Blanche Rogerson. Jake is survived by his wife, Janet Harris, and their children, Stephen and Amy Rogerson, Leslie and George Malota, Stephanie Sinclair, and Jennifer and Peter Everett, as well as his grandchildren, Hazel, Lily, Iris, Nicolai, Jake, Adam, AJ, and Lachie, and his sisters, Donna Potter and Joan Hepworth. He was predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Gail Rogerson. Jake had a deep love for boats, enjoying talking about them, building them, and being on the water. As a partner at Bayfield Boat Yard, he helped design the Bayfield 40, and his own boat was named For Sale. Jake and his wife Janet spent many summers in the North Channel, visiting places like the Benjamin Islands, Clapperton Island, Collins Inlet, and Killarney, where they were married. The family is grateful for the care provided by the staff of Huronview Care Home in Clinton.
