Faith "Faye" Maxine SHERK
Faith "Faye" Maxine Sherk passed away quietly on August 15, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in Welland, Ontario, on July 10, 1936, she was a devoted wife to Hartley Bruce Sherk and a loving mother to Deborah Kirkwood (deceased), Wendy Slater (William), and Lori Gibson (Charlie). Faye was a treasured Gramma to Cheryl Hicks (Ben), Lynn Simon (Rodney), Lindsay Slater (Vince Bernier), Darryl Slater (Allison), Owen Slater (Hannah), Jordan Slater (Kara), Cristi Dendy, and Carli Mulloy (Colin). She was also a proud Great Grandma (GG) to Eli, Maxwell, Clair, Emma, Maverick, Wyatt, Sophie, Zoey, Theo, Colin, Charlie, Zayden, Remington, Arlo, Jesse, Jared, Audrie William, and Harrison. Faye is survived by her sister Delores, while her siblings Rosemary, Marilyn, Gina, and Sherry have predeceased her. Faye lived in the Niagara Peninsula and raised her family in Georgetown before returning to the Niagara Peninsula. Recently, she and Hart moved to Collingwood to be closer to family. A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 26th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Shore Club, 78 Waterfront Circle, Collingwood, Ontario.
