Donald Albert Sims

Donald Albert Sims of Collingwood, Ontario, passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on September 22, 1945, he was a cherished member of his family and community. Donald was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Jean Sims, as well as his siblings, Wayne Sims and Carolanne Schollart, and brother-in-law Jack Harris. He is survived by his beloved wife Dianne, children Jason (Jen) and Haley (Corey McIntyre), and grandchildren Megan and Nathan. He also leaves behind his sister Helen Harris, sister-in-law Barb Reid, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 63, located at 490 Ontario St, Collingwood, ON L9Y1N6. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation in Collingwood.
