Loma Grace (nee Sherk) DOAN

Loma Grace Doan (nee Sherk) of Port Colborne passed away peacefully at Portal Village on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife of the late Lorne Doan (1978), dear sister of Clyde Sherk and sister-in-law of Phyllis Davidson. Loma is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by Andrew and Hattie Sherk. Born in Sherkston, Loma lived in the area all her life and worked as the secretary of the general manager at John Deere for many years before retiring. She was a faithful member of Grace United Brethren Church and was actively involved with Christian Endeavor. Loma was a lover of dogs, particularly Scottie dogs. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Portal Village for their care. Visitation will be held at the Grace Church, 895 Empire Road, Sherkston on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Neil Cudney officiating. Burial will follow at Overholt Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Grace Church of the United Brethren in Christ would be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to the Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
