Barbara Ann NOXEL

Barbara Ann Noxel passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the age of 83, after a brief battle with cancer. She is united with her husband, Lewis Noxel, who died in 2007, and her cherished granddaughter, Amanda, who died in 2020. Barbara was also predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Hazel 'Betty' Murphy, and her siblings, Francis, Earl, Claude, Ed, and Marie. She is survived by her siblings, Ron, Marion, and Danny. Barbara will be loved and remembered by her devoted son, Jim, daughter-in-law, Cheryl, and her granddaughter, Chelsey, and her husband, Anthony. Barbara grew up in Farran's Point and then moved to Grants Corner, where she remained to finish school. She then joined her family in Niagara, later marrying and settling in Welland in 1962. Barbara enjoyed reading, crosswords, and gardening, and was an avid Blue Jays fan. She enjoyed travelling and camping with her young family across Canada, and in her later years, she also travelled with her mom and sisters to Ingersoll. Above all else, she treasured the time spent with her granddaughters. Barbara was a member of the Welland Bowling League, Ladies Cribbage League, and Friends over 55, and enjoyed Monday afternoon cards with her friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Port Colborne Palliative Care Unit for their care and support. Barbara's family will receive family and friends at the Armstrong Funeral Home & Chapel, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 12 p.m.- 1:45 p.m., with the funeral service following in the Armstrong Chapel at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow the service with a private burial of cremated remains at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Barbara to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
