Jeane Catherine Smith, née Lessells, of Cobourg, Ontario, was born on July 27, 1935, and died on July 25, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Katherine Lessells, her husband Gregory, and her sister Margaret Armstrong. Survivors include her children Gregory (married to Monica), Jennifer, and Stephanie (married to Michael); grandchildren Alexandra (married to Chris), Adam, Andrew, Mackenzie (married to Marie-Catherine), and Madeline; step‑granddaughter Katherine (married to Graeham); and great‑grandchildren Sofia, Katie, Oliva Jeane, and Gregory. The family expresses gratitude to Ed's House Hospice and suggests donations to Ed's House Northumberland Hospice in her memory.
