James Heys

James Heys of Cobourg, Ontario, passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife Anne; his children Karen Steele, married to Andrew, and Mark Heys, married to Stephanie Feldhausen; his grandchildren Alexander Steele, Victoria Dettman (married to Matt), Catharine Steele (married to Justin Hardwick), Elizabeth Steele (married to Jesse Rayner), Steven Heys and Michael Heys; his great‑grandchildren Bryce Dettman and Noah Hardwick; and his sibling Reneé, who was predeceased by her husband William. He is also remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Ed's House or the Canadian Cancer Society – Prostate Cancer Research.
