Elizabeth Aleata (Betty) Ford

Elizabeth Aleata "Betty" Ford of Cobourg, Ontario, was born on December 14, 1930, and died on August 22, 2026, at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Ford, her son Barry Ford (Lena), her granddaughter Meagan, and her siblings Audrey Herrington, Valda Mulvey, and Roma Bee. Survivors include her daughters Donna Wright, Darlene Smith (Mike), and Diane Ford (Jim Francis); her grandchildren Shannon, Sara, John, Mallory, Lucas, and Natasha; her sister Mary Elliott; and eight great‑grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St E, Cobourg, ON K9A1K7, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Donations may be made to the Golden Plough Lodge.
