Vincent Rudolph Pinsonneault
Vincent Rudolph Pinsonneault passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, at the age of 86, with his loving daughters by his side. Born in Chatham on May 18, 1939, he was the son of the late Wilfrid and Bertha Pinsonneault. He was the son-in-law of the late Edmund and Philomena Gignac. Vincent was the beloved husband of the late Christine (Gignac) Pinsonneault (1942-2018) for 54 years. He will be missed by his dear friend Sherry Dejong. Vincent was the loving father of Laurette Carey and Will of Charing Cross, Elizabeth Verbeem and Paul of Chatham, and Vincent Jr. and Katrina of Chatham. He was predeceased by Mary at birth in 1964. Five grandchildren will sadly miss him as Pepere: Lauren Roels (Jeff), Ashlyne Bibby (Mark), Branden Verbeem (Jocelyn), Brittaney (Dominique), and Bradley Verbeem (Kristin). He has one great-granddaughter, Raven Roels, who loved him dearly and called him 'Pepe with the fish'. Vincent was the dearest brother of Rolande Chauvin, Carmel Chauvin, Roberte Thomas, and Anne Louise Sturch. He was predeceased by three brothers, Gerard, Roger, Pierre Louis, and sisters Pauline Bourassa and Marguerite Gagnier. Vincent worked at King Grain for 31 years, was a custodian for the Separate School Board, and then for Blessed Sacrament Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Pain Court since 1968 and the Father James Assembly of Chatham since 1974. Vincent was born and raised in Pain Court and moved to Chatham in 1987. He was very active in society as a School Board Trustee for 13 years and Chairman of the Kent County Catholic Board of Education for 2 years. Vincent was also active in the Knights of Columbus for 57 years, serving as Financial Secretary for 23 years, Charter Grand Knight, and Past Grand Knight, among other roles. He belonged to Le Club de l'Amitie in Pain Court. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held at 7:00 pm.
