Theresa Marie Dent

Theresa Marie Dent passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born in Chatham in 1950 to the late Isabelle and Alfonse Martens. Terri was the beloved wife and friend of Ron. For over 55 years, they built a wonderful life together. Terri also leaves behind her siblings, Phil, David, Paula, Chris, and Steven, and her sister-in-law, Sharon Carey. Her friends, including Peter and Sheryl Scholze, Cathy Fancy, Denise Leitenberger, and Michael Murphy, will miss Terri. She will also be missed by her cat companions, Cresy and Auto. Several slow pitch teams and the Dresden Legion fastball team once enjoyed Terri's talents. She also competed in the men's AAA racquetball division. For over 30 years, Terri worked at Union Gas. An avid gardener, Terri's beautiful work won numerous awards and she was a guest speaker at many horticultural societies. The family would like to thank the Chatham Kent Hospice for their care, Dr. Hoffman, and the emergency room staff at CKHA. The family would also like to thank Life Transitions for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
