Steve Beardsall

Steve Beardsall passed away peacefully at Hopewell Hospice in Queensland, Australia on December 6, 2025, at the age of 71, surrounded by love. Born in Toronto, Ontario in 1954, Steve was the second child of Paul and Gwen Beardsall. He grew up in Chatham alongside his three siblings, Sharon, Geri, and Scott. Steve managed the St. Thomas branch of The Sound Shop, where he met his wife, Janice Kinny, and they married in September 1977. Together, they had two sons, Jason and Sean, and built a life that took them across Canada and around the world. Steve had a long and respected career in the oil and natural gas industry. He is survived by his loving wife, Jan; his sons, Jason and Sean; his granddaughters, Jade and Livia; his sisters, Sharon Stenton and Geri Haskell; his Uncle Ron Greaves; his Aunt Shirl Merz; and his in-laws, Cal Kinny, Barb Kinny, Karen Lake, and Donald Kendall.
