Ruth Janice Roos

Ruth Janice Roos passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Chatham Kent Hospice. Born in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Ruth was the daughter of the late William Gardner and Margaret Gardner, and granddaughter of the late Archie and Nellie Turner. Ruth was the wife of the late Peter Roos. She will be greatly missed by her sister Jean Coulson and her husband George, and by her brother Rob Gardner and his wife Norma, and by her nephews Scott Barstead and his wife Chanel Badura, Liam Barstead and his wife Meredith Lucio, and Iain Gardner and his wife Heather, and nieces Meghan Caruso and her husband John, and Emily Barstead and her husband Cole McGregor, and her little buddy Shelby Barry. She will also be missed by her dogs Shophie and Abby. Ruth is also mourned by her stepchildren John Roos, Jane Cripps, and Jennifer Reed.
