Rita (née Jansen) BRINK
Rita Brink (née Jansen) passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the age of 67. Born in Chatham, Rita was the daughter of Henry and Christina (née Wissink) Jansen. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to George Brink. Rita is survived by her children and grandchildren: Michael and Leslie Brink, and their children Grace, Lydia, Emily, and Tyler; Christina Kamerman, and her children Hayley, Brayden, and Megan; Jodi and Simon Lievaart, and their children Joash, Sophia, Annalise, Keziah, and Owen. She is also survived by her mother Christina Jansen, and her sisters Wilma Jansen and Liz (Bill) Visser. Additionally, Rita is survived by her brothers-in-law John, Jim (Corry), Stuart (Deb), Tom (Carlene), and Ed (Marg), as well as many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her father Henry Jansen, brother Al Jansen, and in-laws George and Trudy Brink. Friends will be received at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and at Living Hope Free Reformed Church, 159 Gregory Drive East, Chatham, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
