Philip Burton

Philip Burton passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn (nee Barnier) for 57 years. Philip was a devoted father to Jodi (Rob) Lessard and Michael Burton, and a cherished Papa to Jordan (Ethan), Colton, and McKenna. He was also a dear brother to the late Jim Burton and Anita (Vern) Coulter. Philip will be missed by his dog, Ellie. He dedicated 37 years as a business partner with BDO Accounting - Essex and served as Treasurer of the Essex 73's Hockey Team for 15 years. Philip enjoyed golfing and watching sports. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. As per Philip's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to Reid Funeral Home.
