Marjorie Shirley (née Morgan) Burke

Marjorie Shirley (née Morgan) Burke, a resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on May 23, 2026, at the age of 95. Born in Wheatley, Ontario, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Erle and Hazel (née Charlton) Morgan. She is predeceased by her husband Douglas Burke, and her three children, Bruce Burke (1998), Larry Burke (2015), and Diane Pinsonneault (2020). Marjorie is also predeceased by her siblings Ray Morgan, Donna (James) Burchiel, Robert (Leta) Morgan, Gerald (Audrey) Morgan, and Irene McDonald. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Burke, and her grandchildren Jennifer (Dwayne) Roose, Stacey (Darren) Carther, Laura (Mike) Pinsonneault, Kevin Pinsonneault, Greg (Jodi) Burke, and Geoff (Angela) Burke. Marjorie was also a great-grandmother to 13 and a great-great-grandmother to 7. The family would appreciate donations made in memory of Marjorie to a charity of your choice.
