Johanna Elizabeth Lucas

Johanna Elizabeth Lucas, of St. Thomas and previously of Oakville, Ontario, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the age of 49. She was the much-loved wife, friend, and travel partner of Max Hagerman. Jo was the adored daughter of Martin and Elizabeth Lucas and the loved sister of Jeremy and sister-in-law Christy of Oakville. She will be dearly missed by her nephew Harrison and nieces Maggie and Sydney. Jo will be remembered by her extended family, including her Aunt Janet and cousins Julia and Natalie of the UK. She is now reunited with her beloved Uncle John. Jo had a gift for making people feel valued and was a much-loved member of Max's family, including his daughters Paige and Zoe, mother-in-law Katie, and sisters and brothers-in-law Gwen and Ivan, John and Jessie, Bob and Penny, Eileen and Don, and their families. Jo was also loved by many friends, including Julie, Shannon, Michelle, Andrea, Meredith, Melanie, Laura, Chrissy, and Leslie. Close friends Colleen Coxson and Cara-Lynne Wade provided unwavering support and love. Jo was an avid sailor and loved travel, theatre, and music. She will forever be remembered for her kindness, ensuring those she cared for felt heard, seen, and valued.
