Joaquim Costa of Chatham, Ontario, passed away on October 8, 2026. He is survived by his parents, Joao Costa and Isabel Costa; his spouse, Belarmina; his children, Ricardo Costa of Toronto, Elizabeth Costa (Cesar Torres) of Chatham, and Fernando Costa (Nancy Costa) of Chatham; and his grandchildren, Selena, Isis, River, Julia, Alyssa, Morgan, and Cruz. Visitation took place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, located at 245 Wellington St W, Chatham, ON N7M1J9. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, situated at 180 Wellington St W, Chatham, ON N7M5K4. Friends wishing to make a gesture of remembrance are encouraged to consider the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
