Joanne Marie ANDERSON

Joanne Marie Anderson passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Chatham in 1945, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Arvilla (Tetreault) Lucier. She was the beloved wife of the late Fire Chief James 'Jim' Joseph Anderson (2014). Joanne was the cherished mother of Dean Thomas, Lisa Lynn, Kathleen Erin, and Myla Marie Anderson. She was a loving grandmother of Brittany Ryan, Hayley Erin, and Jamisen Douglas (Mackenzie Barnes) Adey, and a great-grandmother of Remi Rose Adey. Joanne was the sister of the late Romeo Lucier, the late Jeanette (late Raymond) Bechard, the late Gerald (late Inez) Lucier, and the late Jerome Lucier, and she was a special sister and best friend of Barbara Johnston. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Mary and Gloria Lucier. Joanne will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and cousins. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Event Center at the Links of Kent on Friday, January 23 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Joanne are asked to consider the Canadian Liver Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to Life Transitions Burial and Cremation Service Inc.
