Jean Doris (née Young) Knight

Jean Doris Knight (née Young) passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on April 12, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Tillsonburg, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Delia (née McCallum) Young. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Tom Knight and loving mother to David Knight and Margaret (David) Gough. She is also missed by her daughter-in-law Tanya Harris, and her grandchildren Alex, Lauren, Keira, and Gavin. Jean was predeceased by her parents. She will be missed by her German Shepherd, Willow, extended family, and friends. Family will receive friends at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Trinity/St. Paul's Anglican Church, 81 Selkirk Street, Chatham on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. As per Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place.
