Georgina Evelyn Nelson

Georgina Evelyn Nelson of Chatham, Ontario, died on August 20, 2026, at the age of 99. She was born on February 7, 1927. Georgina was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Evelyn Clements, her husband Robert Nelson, her son Donald Nelson, and her brother Bruce Clements. She is survived by her children Cam Nelson (married to Karen), Rod Nelson, Bruce Nelson (married to Susan) and Doug Nelson (married to Sylvie); her grandchildren Michael Nelson (married to Ellen), Matthew Nelson (married to Sarah), Jackie Wolting (married to Kevin), Emily Nelson, Eric Nelson (married to Samantha), Juli Nelson and Kristin Nelson (married to Nick); her great‑grandchildren Arden, Rowan, Rhys, Myles, Townes, Romy, Ariella, Zander, Seth, Caelyn, Theodore, Evie and Hudson; her sister Doris Sweiger; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 450 Park Avenue West, Chatham, ON N7M 1X2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Smile or a charity of the family’s choice.
