Georgia Attard (Gina)

Georgia Attard, also known as Gina, passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 86, at Chatham-Kent Hospice. Born on February 11, 1940, in Malta to Anna and Andrew Borg, Georgia later moved to Canada in 1958. She is survived by her children, Rick and his wife Brenda, Brian and his wife Sandie, and Sharon Guillou, as well as her four grandchildren, Lindsay Guillou and her husband Ben, Wesley and his wife Carrie, Jessica and her husband Ryan, and Amber Attard and her husband Austin. Georgia is also survived by her brother, Fred, and her sisters, Josie and Bessie. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Blenheim Village Long Term Care, Chatham Hospital, and Chatham-Kent Hospice for their care over the past seven months. A celebration of life will be held at the Malta Band Club, located at 5745 Cooper's Ave. in Mississauga, on August 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to McKinlay Funeral Home, located at 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham.
