Frederick Robert GAMESTER

Frederick Robert Gamester, a resident of Chatham, passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 97. Born in London, England, he was the son of the late Robert and Amy (née Roycroft) Gamester. Fred was the beloved husband of the late Marian Elizabeth (née Keane) Gamester. He is survived by his step-daughters, Janet Osborne (Alex) and Jennifer McKeon, and was predeceased by his son Stephen Gamester and step-son David McKeon. Fred was a proud grandfather to Katie McKeon (Ryan), Laurel Osborne, Lisa Deck (Tom), Kaela McKeon (John), and Rebecca Catchpole (Tim), and a cherished great-grandfather to Liam Deck. He will be missed by his sister Ure Bliss and her children, as well as several nephews and a niece. A Funeral Service will take place at Christ Church, 80 Wellington Street West, Chatham, ON, on September 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations in Fred's memory to the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 465, Merlin, would be appreciated.
