Fred Gamester

Fred Gamester of Chatham, Ontario died on August 21, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Amy Gamester, his wife Marian Elizabeth Gamester, his son Stephen Gamester, his stepson David McKeon, his sister Pat Torrance, and his nephew Maurice. He is survived by his stepdaughters Janet Osborne (Alex) and Jennifer McKeon; his grandchildren Katie McKeon (Ryan), Laurel Osborne, Lisa Deck (Tom), Kaela McKeon (John) and Rebecca Catchpole (Tim); his great‑grandchild Liam Deck; his sister Ure Bliss; and his nieces and nephews Christine, Wendy, David (Janet), Freddie, Robert, Richard, Jimmy and Sherri. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church, 80 Wellington Street West, Chatham, Ontario, followed by burial at Maple Leaf Cemetery beginning at 12:15 p.m. The family requests donations in memory of Fred to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 465, Merlin.
