Cheryl Payne

Cheryl Payne of Chatham, Ontario, passed away on September 27, 2026. She was predeceased by her parents, Beverly Arnold and Clara Arnold, as well as her mother-in-law, Doreen Payne. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Greg Payne; her daughter, Michelle Benoot; and her grandson, Lucas. She also leaves behind her sisters, Connie Legary (Don) and Colleen Tracey (Jamie Williams), along with her nephews, Jeremy, Matt (Rachel), Josh, and Noah, and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Blake and Claire Arnold. Additionally, she is remembered by her close friend, Norma Primeau, extended family, and many friends. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at McKinlay Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation in her memory.
