Celeste De Sousa

Celeste De Sousa was born on October 5, 1939, and died on August 13, 2026, at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her parents, Joaquim Moreira and Joaquina Cerqueria, and her sister, Cecilia. Survivors include her children Joe De Sousa (married to Sheelagh), Regina Jorge (married to Rute), Connie Veiga (married to Antonio), George De Sousa, and her goddaughter Maria Celeste DaSilva. Visitation took place on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, Ontario. A funeral service was held at the same location on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Andrew's Foundation in her memory.
