Catharine Rose Burk Van Breda, a resident of Chatham, Ontario, passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on June 8, 1941. Catharine is survived by her daughters Carrie Bissonette, Lorrie Vandersluis and Shellie Sawyer; grandchildren Nathan Trudell, Rowan and Ayden Bourdeau; great‑grandchildren Nolan, Madison and Griffin Trudell; siblings Tom Burke, Freda Montague, Glen Burk and Susan Hind; and friends Sharon Pepper and John McGregor, as well as other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William "Bill" Van Breda, her sister Carol Schade, siblings‑in‑law Connie Burk and Blaine Montague, friends Sue Legue and Mary Van Waes, and her pet Missy. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home, 53 Stanley Street, Blenheim, ON N0P1A0.
