Carmela Toscani

Carmela Toscani passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in Rome, Italy in 1935, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppina (Montebovi) and Settimo Novelli. She was the beloved wife of Domenico Toscani and loving mother of Lino Toscani, Phil (Phyllis) Toscani, and Teresa Toscani. She was a cherished grandmother of Ashley, Samantha, and Jonathan Toscani. She is also survived by her dear brothers, Alfredo (Livia) Novelli and Angleo Novelli. Friends and relatives may visit at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home Ltd., 156 William St. S. Chatham from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., on Monday, May 4, 2026. A Chapel Service will be conducted on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with Deacon Morgan Treacey officiating. Entombment will follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
