Alice Opavsky

Alice Opavsky of Chatham, Ontario, passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on October 18, 1937, she is fondly remembered by her family and friends. Alice was predeceased by her parents, Katherine Tomecek (Kocis) and Steve Tomecek, her grandmother Babka, her partner Charles Opavsky, and her son Christopher. She is survived by her children, Chuck (Jackie), David (Darlene), and Stephanie Konecny (Martin), along with her grandchildren, Melissa, Alicia, Megan, Ashley, Lisa (Jarod), Brady, Katrina, and Marty. Visitation will take place on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Ursula's Church, followed by a funeral Mass from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice or Canadian Food for Children would be appreciated.
