François Arthur SÉGUIN

François 'Frank' Séguin passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2025, in his 85th year. Born in 1941 on the family dairy farm in Charlton, ON, François was the cherished son of André and Élizabeth. He is survived by his siblings: Anne (Elvino), Louis (Cécile), Isidore (Thérèse), Gabriel (Claire), Colette (Léo), Raymond (Helen), Bernadette (Ivan), Alma (Armand), Andrée (Rhéaume), Robert (Shirley), and Hélène (Donald), as well as many nieces and nephews, and his step-grandson Michael. Predeceased by his parents, several siblings, his sweetheart Dyan Gauthier, and their cat Patches. François met his beautiful Dyan while working at the Ford Motor Co., where he retired after dedicating 42 years of service. He was a dedicated employee and an avid handyman, outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman. In his later years, he enjoyed his daily strolls along the lake, where he enjoyed a cup of coffee, observing the local wildlife and completing the puzzle in his daily newspaper. His family will miss his witty comments and life stories. A heartfelt thank you from Nicole to Beth, his SDM Bronte Pharmacy Team, Daniel DeRuvo, Dr. Ramos and her Nursing Team, Dr. Rofaiel and Nina, Dr. Gazala, and lastly Dr. Kazem and his Palliative Care Team at OTMH for their support and care. In lieu of flowers, donations in François's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, OTMH Palliative Care Unit, or the Alzheimer Society. In accordance with François's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will gather Saturday, February 28th, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Pleasantview Funeral Home, 2000 Merrittville Hwy., THOROLD (905-892-1699). A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2:30 p.m., followed by interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
