Miriam MARDEROSIAN RN

Miriam Marderosian passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in Lankenau Hospital in Upper Darby, PA, on June 13, 2026, with her sister, Susan, by her side. Miriam graduated from the Mack School of Nursing in 1960. In 1961, she moved to Philadelphia to continue her nursing career at Jefferson Medical Center, while also doing private duty nursing. Miriam crocheted over 1,000 hats, as well as many scarves and baby blankets, which she sent to Armenia for those in need. She began reading her Aunt Margaret's nursing books at the age of 12, and also started sewing and crocheting, eventually collecting craft books and recipes. In the spring, she enjoyed planting her vegetable and flower gardens. Her compassion and care brought comfort to many, and she was always willing to help in any way when needed. Mourning her passing are her sisters, Susan Marderosian and Sylvia Matthews; niece, Jacqueline El Madaani; great-niece, Teniah El Madaani; great-great-niece, Salma; nephews, Armen, Aram, and Murray; niece, Margaret; great-nephew, Nate; cousin, Paul Eramian; and relatives in Bulgaria and the United States. Miriam was predeceased by her mother and father; her grandmother and grandfather; her brother, Nathan; her uncle, Ardy; her aunt, Margaret; her nephew, Chris; and her brother-in-law, Warren. In keeping with Miriam's wishes, no services were held. A private interment took place in the family plot at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Monday, June 22.
