William Simpson

William Simpson passed away on July 30, 2026. He was predeceased by his wife Helen, his grandson Kyle Simpson, his son‑in‑law Gus Jonkman, and his friend Mary Helen MacLeod. He is survived by his children Wendy Jonkman (married to Bob Kurdziel), Gary (married to Marilyn), Kevin (married to Beverley) and Ashton, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home, 19 MacArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario. A funeral service took place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Ashton United Church, 105 Old Mill Road, Beckwith, Ontario, followed by burial at Munster Union Cemetery, 2821 Munster Road, Ottawa, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Ashton United Church or Munster Union Cemetery.
