She was predeceased by her husband Angus John Elliott (Gus), her parents Margaret Mara and Norris Mara, her siblings William, Diana Mara, Gertrude, Robert Jones and N. James Mara, and her sisters‑in‑law Nancy Mara and Carolynne Mara. Survivors include her son Andrew (Annie Bertrand), her grandchildren Chace and Billie Rose of Candiac, Quebec, her sister‑in‑law Grace (Ken), her nephew David Wright, and her siblings Peter Mara, John Mara, Thomas Mara (Tina), Wanda Mara, Mary Moran (Lyle), Elizabeth Mears (David), Christine Foster (Orland) and Katherine Vesterfelt (John), as well as an aunt.
