Laura (Betty) Gemmill

Laura (Betty) Gemmill of Carleton Place, Ontario, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on April 6, 1942. Laura is survived by her husband, Clarence; daughters Wendy and Annette (Stacey); grandchildren Trista (Rocky), Brandon and Brett; great‑grandchild Zoe; and siblings Len (Sheila), Jack (Debbie), Linda (Gerry), Donnie, Ray (Ann), Terry, Nancy (Dave) and Lorraine (Bill). She was predeceased by her parents, Russell and Mary Thompson, and her sisters Ann (Cecil) and Kaye (Jerry). Memorial contributions may be directed to the Guthrie United Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice.
