Joan Sample

Joan Sample of Carleton Place, Ontario, passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on May 20, 1932. Joan is survived by her children Peggy, Robert, Anne, Nancy and David; her grandchildren Jenny, Gregory, Harrison Cruikshank, Robert, Braeden Sample, Danny, Emily Menard, David, Samantha and Jordon Sample; her great‑grandchildren Elodie Menard and Bowen Sample. She was predeceased by her parents Margaret Pearl Jardine McLaren and George Patterson McLaren, her husband Gordon (deceased December), her siblings Phyllis and George, as well as the listed grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ruddy‑Shenkman Hospice or the Munster Union Cemetery.
