Jean (nee Johnston) CHAMBERS
Jean Chambers passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 101. Born to James and Florence Johnston of Wellandport, she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, after 66 years of marriage, and her son, Jerry. Jean is survived by her children, Martin, Rick, Bruce, and Doug, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Chambers and Betty Padereski. Jean was a devoted mother who always provided home-cooked meals and wonderful baking for her family. Later in life, she and her husband took in foster children, offering a safe and comfortable home to many young boys and girls. The family would like to thank the caring doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital. All are welcome to visit with Jean's family on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lampman Funeral Home, 724 Canboro Rd, Fenwick. A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Wellandport. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
