VALERIE JEAN SCOTT

Valerie Jean Scott passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on August 18, 1962, Valerie was the cherished mother of Abraham Upshaw and the devoted sister of Victoria Scott. She was the loving daughter of Frank Scott and Marianne Scott, both of whom predeceased her. Valerie's family was her heart, and she carried her love for them with quiet pride and unwavering loyalty throughout her life. She spent more than 30 years on Vine Street in Cambridge, where she treasured the close community that surrounded her. Valerie worked as a medical underwriter with Prudential Insurance and later joined Clarke's law firm, where she spent over two decades building meaningful relationships and a respected career. Valerie loved to swim and music of all kinds, and she dedicated many years to her community, volunteering with the breakfast program at Abraham's public school and serving with the Kinettes in several leadership roles.
